Most of the recent Gazelle releases including a nice number of 2012 releases have come in ‘OG’ form. Three Stripes changes things up a bit by opting for this adidas Originals Gazelle 2.0, but more important than the name is the material distribution. This Fairway and Green Zest Gazelle 2 is a perfect example of why the ‘tonal’ look is so popular, and it gains extra depth from the subtle contrast between canvas upper, suede toe/eyestay and leather Stripes. You’ll want to enjoy this elegant balance up close after the jump, then grab a pair straight from adidas.

This newest release from Nike Basketball represents a perfect storm of technology and pop culture. The Nike Max H.A.M. takes its name from the lead single from Watch the Throne, and while this model released just in time for summer ball will indeed go hard, the serendipity of combining Hyperfuse and Max Air into a title that captures the tech and a piece of time capsule slang makes these more interesting. Add in the reasonable $95 MSRP and these two colorways are potential sleeper hits, and you’ll find them available now at Finish Line.

Joining a couple other adidas Originals ZX 750s that just arrived at retail is another that utilizes a different blocking template. Whereas those others utilized more of a tonal approach, these new ZX750s opt for a bold yellow contrast on the Stripes and heel counter. This accent really pops from a grey/black base, but using a straightforward primary shade means these still have a classic vibe to them. Check out more shots below, then grab yours from Eastbay.

It looks like LeBron isn’t the only one who will see his sneakers transform into a lifestyle look this year. The Nike Kobe 8 looks to be transitioning into this Nike Kobe 8 NSW model as well. The upper echoes that Kobe vibe with both the Swoosh placement and the remnants of the heel clip on the back, both of which are placed on a flat-footed sole to help it transition to an entirely different category. See more on the Nike Kobe 8 NSW “Mexican Blanket” colorway after the jump and keep in mind that these look like an Asian release for June at the moment.
