Seattle sneakers will be making a comeback this Summer, as Gary Payton’s beloved Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove” is on its way back. 2013 is going to be one helluva year for 90′s basketball fans who adored the Seattle Supersonics (and later, just Sonics). Why? Because the franchise’s two most iconic players in Gary ‘The Glove’ Payton and Shawn ‘Reignman’ Kemp will have their best sneakers re-issued this year. Along with Reebok’s comeback with the upcoming Kamikaze II, Nike Basketball is set to retro the Nike Zoom Flight ’98 (simply referred to as ‘The Glove‘) which is now confirmed by GP to be an October 2013 release.

Outside of the Glove, nothing’s been confirmed yet (although we should point out the Nike Air Zoom Payton II, Air Zoom Payton III, Air Zoom Payton IV, and another classic from that era in the Nike Air Hawk Flight and Nike Air Maestro ’96 on that glorious table spread). Your thoughts on the future of the Nike Glove line? Chime in below.
