Nike Basketball’s core lineup has been consistent for the past four-years plus: the ‘big three’ signature series plus Hyperdunk, Hyperfuse and a rotating cast of supporting players. The Nike Zoom Hyperdisruptor fits into that last category, its affordable design also likely to draw comparisons to the Kobe 8 System (or even Hyperdunk 2011 Elite) thanks to the external heel counter arch. The heavily ventilated construction also owes a bit to the Hyperfuse but is far more angular in its presentation than the 2012 version of that shoe, so have a closer look below and look for these soon at select Nike Basketball retailers.

Joining the Hyperchaos in Nike Basketball’s supporting cast is a new performance model with a design some might liken to a hightop Zoom Kobe VII. The Nike Zoom Hyperdisruptor has a Hyperfuse upper, similar externalized counter arch and angular tooling on the Zoom-cushioned sole like the ZK7, but the more robust build and aggressive name suggest they’re intended for larger but still athletic players who alternate between the perimeter and low block.
