October is here to stay. So is your favorite feed of daily Sneaker News. So is your week-ending recap of all the most pertinent shoe stories that popped up since we last did this dance. You ready? Nike finally pulled the veil off of their 2013 Doernbecher collection, an exciting group featuring Foamposites, Jordans, and more. We took you back into the realm of the Jordan Brand preview with a look at a strange “Nike Air” sporting Jordan III sample. China made us jealous with their launch of the LeBron 11, something we’ve still gotta wait another week for. Supreme’s latest collab with Nike touched down, selling out in an instant despite their rule-breaking non-SB nature (Oh and don’t forget the full rundown we gave you on the history between those two entities). Concepts cooked up another New Balance 998, this one exclusive to their Boston shop, and Sneaker News showed you more angles of the shoe than anyone else on the web.
Some of Vans’ classics disappeared thanks to a digi camo application, while others stood out with their Bruce Lee tribute. The Nike Roshe Run showed us what it’s got going on in 2014, hint: it doesn’t involve laces. Custom creators used pigeons, planes, Pablo Escobar, and more for inspiration. Extra Butter let the
snake cat out of the bag on their Asics collab, one that will apparently be launching at a brand new Manhattan location for the shop. Reebok threw a glow in the dark application on their Kamikaze II, meanwhile adidas got in touch with Size? to light up some of their classic runners. Get with us after the click for a full rundown on each of these items and don’t forget to tune in next week should you miss any of up to date headlings on the goings on in the sneakerhead world.

The back to school season is one that’s never been slow in the footwear realm. Fortunately, your favorite feed of that sort has never been slow either. So in case you missed the rapid headlines hitting here at Sneaker News this past week, buckle in for a second while we give you the gist. The Air Jordan 1 met the Air Jordan XI “Concord” and the result is coming in just a couple of weeks. Speaking of October releases, there are more LeBron 11s than you think thanks to the upcoming debut of his lifestyle shoe. Kevin Durant had something to say about that-firing back with a preview of his own. Still no site of the Kobe 9 but the Kobe 8 continues to be interesting. Gentry Humphrey flaunted one of his Foamposite creations in China and Chris Paul proved the power of a Jordan Brand connect. More interested in runners? Good news-HTM is back to work with the Flyknit technology, Size? is bringing back an Air Max gem, and Reebok’s got plenty more Classic Leathers coming.
Run DMC’s adidas can be your adidas-no shoe strings in em. Or you could go the Harlem route and grab A$AP Rocky’s new project ahead of the release date. New Balance collabs keep up their steady pace as Tannery and Engineered Projects showed us what they were working on this week. Asics has also been busy with the partnerships-you definitely want to get a look at what the likes of Extra Butter and BAIT have whipped up. But who needs collabs when you can build your own sneakers and colorways? Just ask custom names like The Shoe Surgeon and Mache whose works were featured this week. Stay with us after the click to see all these stories and a whole host more in this latest installment of the Sneaker News Weekly Rewind and remember that, should you find yourself foolishly skipping our daily content for the coming week, we’ll be back here at the same time in seven days to give you the rundown.
